IN THE BEGINNING |
Billet City,population of one, was started in April of 2001.
While walking a car show and seeing that the black plastic electric radiator fans were not worthy of the Hot Rods that were displaying them, I realized that I could create a replacement for these ugly fans. Having 24 years of experience in Aerospace Manufacturing as a machinist and currently a CNC Programmer I had all the pieces of the puzzle to design, create CNC programs and fabricate these new replacement parts. After countless hours at the Cad Station I came up with a concept design for a replacement billet fan shroud. The next step was to research electric fans to find the best fan to base my design/engineering around. SPAL fans fit that bill. Not only being the most reliable fans on the market but also had a design configuration that easily worked with my concept design. Design/engineering was completed, CNC Programs were written and the first proto type billet fan shroud was made. It looked better than I could have imagined.
